President Barack Obama had a bone to pick with Ellen DeGeneres during his first appearance on the comedian’s talk show.
DeGeneres broke the president’s election-night record for most retweeted tweet in history with her famous Oscars selfie — taken from the audience as she hosted the Academy Awards ceremony.
“I heard about that. I thought it was a pretty cheap stunt myself. Getting a bunch of celebrities in the background,” Obama said during an episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show airing on Thursday.
Obama also talked of his fondness for Netflix’s House of Cards, insisting the real Washington was much less dramatic and that his typical day “wouldn’t make very good television.”

He teased DeGeneres about the amount of dancing featured on her show.
“I have to tell you though, Ellen, there’s not much dancing in the situation room. As a general rule.”
