President Barack Obama showed off his deft comedy skills once again, guest starring in an episode of Between Two Ferns.
Host Zach Galifianakis has become notorious for making his guests feel uncomfortable on the cult Internet comedy show, and he kept up his signature style in the six-minute interview with the president that premiered shortly after 7.00 a.m. ET on Tuesday.

The President gave as good as he got, though. When asked by Galifinakis whether it was a bummer that he couldn’t run for a third term — after first getting quizzed on his views of “North Ikea” and “Ambassador Rodman” — Obama said, “Actually, I think it’s a good thing. It would sort of be like doing a third Hangover movie…. It didn’t work out very well, did it?”
Filmed two weeks ago, the segment for the hit site — which is from the creators of Funny or Die — is Obama’s latest attempt to promote his policies through viral video, as he urges young people to sign up for health insurance before the March 31 deadline.
Midway through the episode Obama got his Affordable Care act plug in — “Oh yeah, that thing that doesn’t work,” Galifinakis snapped as it came up — later assuring the host that his pre-existing condition, a “disgusting” rash from spider bites, wouldn’t preclude him from coverage.

Obama follows in the footsteps of previous Between Two Ferns guests such as Justin Bieber, Tobey Maguire, Samuel L. Jackson and James Franco, who have all faced public humiliation for the sake of humor.
The Hangover star asks his guests a series of uncomfortable questions as they sit between two potted plants (the “ferns” of the title) in a setup reminiscent of public access television.
It is the latest in a series of special pop culture appearances that the president has made, including introducing the Cosmos premiere on Fox on Sunday.
