That’s what the guys over at Sesame Street are vying for, creating an unofficial audition tape for the NBC sketch comedy show.
In it, the Cookie Monster does his own Weekend Update. (Is he gunning for head writer and anchor Seth Meyers’ spot?) And also does a Lady Gaga impression.
The Sesame Street team seems to be serious about getting one of their own on to the late-night Saturday staple, starting a Facebook campaign to get him a hosting gig.
If Betty White can do it, so can the Cookie Monster.
