Vox media’s fashion arm, Racked, added a new editor in chief to its masthead following last month’s departure of founding editor Leslie Price. Former Yahoo Style managing editor Britt Aboutaleb has been named to the position and will start Feb. 1. Aboutaleb noted that she’s hoping to transform the site, which was acquired by Vox in 2013, into a “big player in the fashion industry.” [WWD]
Fueling the rumors that Teen Vogue may be headed for a digital-only future is the news that the glossy’s entire team (both print and digital) has relocated within One World Trade Center and now shares a floor with Vogue.com. In November, Conde Nast announced the departure of Teen Vogue publisher Jason Wagenheim, noting that the team would instead now report to Vogue’s publisher. The announcement also included the news that TeenVogue.com would be reporting directly to Vogue.com. And just yesterday, Allure editor Michelle Lee revealed that she had tapped Teen Vogue‘s managing editor for the beauty mag, and no replacement has yet been named. [Racked]
