TORONTO — The fourth-season finale of The Voice was the biggest ever for the series on Canadian broadcaster CTV and dwarfed the local audience for the overtime thriller in the sixth game of the NBA finals on the TSN cable sports channel.
The NBC singing contest pulled in 1.9 million viewers, according to BBM Canada data, up 35 percent from last spring’s finale.

The ABC feed for the NBA Finals game six by comparison pulled in 498,000 viewers on TSN.
Canada is, after all, a hockey nation.
The two-hour finale for The Voice on CTV peaked at 2.5 million viewers when Danielle Bradbery from Blake Shelton’s team was crowned the season champion.
The Voice-NBA finals primetime match-up north of the border was good for Bell Media, which owns both CTV and TSN.
Tuesday night’s reality competition series finale secured a 21 percent share, meaning just one in five English-Canadian viewers tuned into The Voice.
