BERLIN – Dutch producer Talpa, the maker of hit talent format The Voice, has strengthened its Talpa International division with a number of new appointments.
Dutch TV veteran Etienne de Jong, international consultant on the production and rollout of The Voice in major territories, including Germany and France, takes up the newly-created position of head of international productions. His job will be to support local producers in their adaptation of Talpa formats worldwide.
Talpa’s production and sales strategy follows the successful method used for The Voice: new formats are first tested on various platforms in the Netherlands. If successful, they’re then rolled out across the globe.
De Jong will report to Talpa International managing director Maarten Meijs.
Talpa International has also promoted Gepke Nederlof, to the post of head of sales with responsibility for all of the group’s international licensing deals.
Plus, it has named Andre Adema, a former executive with FremantleMedia’s Blue Circle unit, business director at Talpa’s Dutch support operation, which coordinates all of Talpa International’s sales, as well as other activities.
