Grease is not throwing away its shot.
Tony award winner Lin Manuel-Miranda is hosting a Q&A panel with Grease: Live directors Thomas Kail (who also directed Hamilton) and Alex Rudzinski, Aaron Tveit (who plays Danny Zuko), casting director Bernard Telsey and costume designer William Ivey Long, streaming live here and on Fox beginning 4 p.m. PT/7 p.m. ET. The moderated panel is taking place at the Edison Ballroom in New York City.
Fox’s Grease: Live, starring Tveit, Julianne Hough and Vanessa Hudgens, first aired Jan. 31 as a live TV musical. Manuel-Miranda declared himself a fan of the production when he enthusiastically live-tweeted the entire broadcast.
The live production is nominated for a total of 10 Emmys this year, including outstanding directing for a variety special and outstanding casting for a limited series, movie or special.
