In the midst of presidential primaries, The Simpsons are trying to make it through the political chaos.
In a new Simpsons video clip, “The Debateful Eight,” the 2016 election is in full swing and Marge “can’t take it anymore.”
“Basic manners are gone from politics. What is it with these ding-dongs?” says Marge to Homer.
“I know things look bad now, but just try to visualize another America,” Homer says to Marge. “One where Republicans, Democrats and Donald Trump all get along.”
Marge is suddenly put at ease when she dreams just that. Simpson-ized versions of Hillary Clinton, Ben Carson, Ted Cruz and even Trump appear onscreen together dancing and singing to “How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You).” Unfortunately, the happiness among the candidates doesn’t last for long before Trump starts calling people “morons” and Marco Rubio goes back to his robotic actions.
Although Jeb Bush dropped out of the race, he’s shown asking Trump, “Want to see what my mother suggested?” Bush then proceeds to kick Trump where it hurts the most.
