Alex Tse is now attached to write the screenplay for The Crow, which Relativity is mounting as what it calls a “reinvention” of the 1994 film of the same name, which in turn was based on the comic book series and comic strip by James O’Barr.
Juan Carlos Fresnadillo (28 Weeks Later) is set to direct the film in which Bradley Cooper is attached to star as Eric Draven, who returns from the grave as The Crow and sets out to avenge his wife’s murder.
Relativity and Edward R. Pressman Film Corp. are teaming with Spain-based Apaches Entertainment on the production.
The movie will be produced by Edward R. Pressman, Jeff Most, Relativity CEO Ryan Kavanaugh and Apaches’ Enrique López Lavigne and Belén Atienza.
