The New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks will be storming the field on Sunday, Feb. 1, at Super Bowl XLIX, and The Hollywood Reporter has all you need to know before the big game.
Sunday’s match will take place at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Ariz., and be broadcast live on NBC at 3:30 p.m. PT, with pregame coverage beginning at 9 a.m. PT. The Patriots, three-time Super Bowl champs, will play the Seahawks, who defeated the Denver Broncos 43-8 in last year’s championship game and hope to repeat.

NBC’s Super Bowl XLIX Pre-Game Show will run for six hours and feature expert analysis and commentary from NBC Sports’ Bob Costas, Dan Patrick, Josh Elliott, Tony Dungy, Rodney Harrison, Hines Ward, Mike Florio, Peter King, Al Michaels, Cris Collinsworth and Michele Tafoya.
Meanwhile, NBC News’ Savannah Guthrie will host an exclusive interview with President Barack Obama at the White House, which will air live during the pregame show late Sunday afternoon. An additional interview will be taped and scheduled to air the following Monday, Feb. 2, on NBC’s Today.
The halftime show will be headlined by Katy Perry , who will be joined onstage by rocker Lenny Kravitz. Before the game, John Legend will perform “America the Beautiful” and Idina Menzel will perform the national anthem.

Last year’s Super Bowl XLVIII became the most watched in history when it peaked at 112.2 million viewers. For this year’s game, WalletHub, a personal finance social network, has predicted that 7.5 million homes will purchase new TVs and 1.25 billion chicken wings will be consumed. In addition, an estimated $115 million will be gambled away by Patriots and Seahawks fans, and companies will spend a total of $359 million on advertisement slots during the show (each 30-second ad is estimated to cost about $4.5 million).

If you can’t make it to a TV by Sunday afternoon, NBC’s Super Stream Sunday will offer 11 continuous hours of free streaming of the game, the halftime show and all pre- and postgame festivities online. Streaming will begin at 9 a.m. PT and end with a new episode of NBC’s The Blacklist, which will air around 7 p.m., following postgame coverage.
