Fox Searchlight has released a new red band trailer for Wilson.
Wilson stars Woody Harrelson as the titular character, a lonely, neurotic and honest middle-aged misanthrope who reunites with his estranged wife (Laura Dern) and gets a shot at happiness when he learns he has a teenage daughter (Isabella Amara). In his uniquely outrageous and slightly twisted way, he sets out to connect with her.
How, exactly? By publicly beating up her bullies at the local mall and forcing her to partake in kiddie rides, of course.
Judy Greer, Margo Martindale and Cheryl Hines are also featured in the film. The screenplay was written by Oscar nominee Daniel Clowes (Ghost World) and is based on his graphic novel of the same name. Mary Jane Skalski and Jared Ian Goldman produced the film.
The Craig Johnson dramedy has also shifted back to March 24, 2017, and will open opposite Warner Bros.’ King Arthur: Legend of the Sword and Lionsgate’s Power Rangers remake. Its previous release date was March 3.
