Sony Pictures Classics has acquired all North American rights to Woody Allen’s next film, Blue Jasmine, from Gravier Prods.
The move continues Allen’s relationship with the specialty label, which also released his To Rome With Love and the Oscar best picture nominee Midnight in Paris.
Newly dubbed Blue Jasmine, the film stars Alec Baldwin, Cate Blanchett, Bobby Cannavale, Louis C.K., Andrew Dice Clay, Sally Hawkins, Peter Sarsgaard and Michael Stuhlbarg.
Written by Allen, the story chronicles the final stages of an acute crisis and a life of a fashionable New York housewife.
Letty Aronson, Stephen Tenenbaum and Edward Walson produced the film.
