World Series’ Game 6 Nail-Biter: What Hollywood Is Saying

The St. Louis Cardinals tied the World Series on Thursday night in a nail-biting Game 6 that went into 11 innings.

The Redbirds beat the Texas Rangers 10-9 in St. Louis to tie the series 3-3, thanks to a walk-off homer by hometown hero David Freese.

Texas was leading the game, which lasted four-and-a-half hours, in the seventh inning at 7-4. But it went into extra innings when Freese hit a two-run triple in the ninth to tie the game at 7-7.

Texas Ranger Josh Hamilton came back to hit a two-run homer in the 10th, and the Cards then tied it at 9-9.

After a scoreless top of the 11th inning, Freese — the first at bat in the bottom of 11th — hit a solo walk-off homer to win the game.
