Germany's Pro7 promotes Christoph Korfer
Replaces Karl Konig, who shifts to programming strategyCOLOGNE, Germany -- Christoph Korfer, corporate spokesman for German private network Pro7, has been promoted to deputy head of the channel.
He replaces Karl Konig, who will take over the new position of head of programming strategy at Pro7. Carina Teutenberg, executive producer of Pro7's daily science show "Galileo," will take over Konig's other job as head of news at the channel.
In his new job, Konig will be responsible for developing new ideas and business models for Pro7, particularly in nontraditional areas like the Internet.
Pro7, which has been hit hard by the advertising downturn in Germany, is looking for ways to reduce its dependence on the 30-second TV spot.
