Germany's Studio Babelsberg, China's Wuxi Studios Sign Co-Production Deal
The two outfits will share resources and talent in setting up Germany-China co-productions.
Germany's Studio Babelsberg and China's Wuxi Studios have signed a co-production agreement that will see the two studios work together to build up an international production services company.
Under the agreement, Babelsberg and Wuxi will share film resources, exchange film technology and talent, and cooperate as producers and investors on feature film projects.
Babelsberg is Germany's largest film studio and has worked on such Hollywood productions as Steven Spielberg's Bridge of Spies, Wes Anderson's The Grand Budapest Hotel and Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds.
Wuxi Studios, located in China's Jiangsu province, was launched in 2012 as a full-service hub both for the Chinese film and TV market as well as for foreign productions looking to co-produce with China.
