Gisele Bundchen Might Not Be Retired From the Runway After All

Stop toying with our hearts, Gisele.

The story of Gisele Bundchen's runway retirement seems to be one that's been lost in translation.

After a statement given by Bundchen (in Portugese) to Sao Paulo newspaper Folha de Sao Paulo implied that the 34-year-old was hanging up her heels for good, her bookings agent, Anne Nelson, clarified to The New York Times that that might not be the case.

Nelson told the trade that while Bundchen would not be returning to the Brazilian runway, she's not necessarily quitting the catwalk altogether. According to the longtime rep, the Brazilian mother of two would still consider all opportunities that came her way — including runway.

"Will she want to do it? That's a whole other story," Nelson said. "It would have to come within an interesting angle, a unique opportunity. Will she do it? I can't guarantee that. But that people will call for her, yes."

Given an Instagram Bundchen posted April 15 with the caption, "Today after 20 years in the industry, it is a privilege to be doing my last fashion show by choice," as well as a congratulatory Facebook message posted by her husband, Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, it's easy to see where the confusion stems from. Looks like we'll just have to wait and see.
