GK Films Senior VP Maxine Leonard Exits to Open Own Company

The executive launches a marketing and publicity consulting firm, with Lisa Wilson's Parlay Films as her first client.

Maxine Leonard is leaving Graham King's GK Films, where she's been serving as senior vp, marketing and publicity, to open her own marketing and publicity consulting firm. Her first client will be Lisa Wilson's Parlay Films.

Leonard's new outfit will focus on corporate publicity for entertainment companies and international marketing and publicity for theatrical features.

"With the upswing in the international marketplace as evidenced at the European Film Market in Berlin this year, the time is right for me to branch out with my own company after an incredible time working with Graham and the team at GK Films," said Leonard, who joined GK Films in 2006.

Before that, she held various marketing and publicity posts at Myriad Pictures and Denmead Marketing.
