Global Citizen Festival: Watch the Live Stream

Watch the musical performances broadcast live from Central Park in NYC.

The Global Citizen Festival is being held on the Great Lawn of New York's Central Park on Saturday, with performances by Pearl Jam, Beyonce, Ed Sheeran and Coldplay. 

In an effort to help fight extreme poverty and inequality around the world, the Matthew Santoro- and AsapScience-hosted event aims to raise awareness with the fourth annual free festival.

The Global Citizen Festival was launched in 2012 as part of a 15-year campaign to end extreme poverty by 2030. Tickets to the event — 48,000 in total — will be given at no cost to those who take action by visiting and participating in a broad range of campaign efforts to help the poor, including raising awareness through social media, signing petitions and contacting world leaders to push for change.

Stephen Colbert, Salma Hayek, Kerry WashingtonOlivia Wilde, Hugh Jackman and his wife, Deborra-Lee, also are set to host.
