Golden Globe Awards Set 2016 Date

The film and TV kudos will again be held at Los Angeles' Beverly Hilton hotel.

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association has firmed up plans for the 2016 Golden Globe Awards. The kudos will tape live, coast to coast, on Sunday, Jan. 10.

“We look forward to following this year's successful Golden Globe Awards by celebrating what looks like another exceptional year in both film and television,” said HFPA president Theo Kingma.

Again airing on NBC and taking place at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, next year's Globes will also be produced by Dick Clark Productions with the HFPA.

What's not clear is who will host the ceremony. Next year will mark the first show after the end of a three-year hosting stint with emcees Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. (The duo have been adamant that they won't return.)

The recent Golden Globes saw a steady, if slightly lower, showing in the ratings. It averaged a 5.8 rating among adults 18-49 and brought in 19.3 million viewers.
