The pros behind the "Her" star's hair and makeup explain how they captured sexy, fresh effortlessness (and it's not just the pregnancy glow).

Sexy and rock 'n' roll may not scream "mom-to-be," but that's exactly what Olivia Wilde's glam team wanted their client to embody.

"We wanted a look that would complement the [emerald-beaded Gucci] dress and be sexy and cool," says makeup artist Melanie Inglessis of the beauty look she and hairstylist Lona Vigi created for Wilde. The duo was successful in delivering an effortless look that has set fan and media tongues wagging.

Inglessis used Revlon products to keep the skin dewy with sheer coverage, including a mix of PhotoReady Skinlights Face Illuminator in Bare Light and Peach Light. The focal point of the makeup was the purple smoky eye.

"Olivia pulls off a smoky eye like no one else," says Inglessis, who used Revlon shadow in Muse and Kajal liner in Purple Reign to create the soft-yet-smoldering effect. Vigi, who is known for giving clients (including Cameron Diaz and Drew Barrymore) sexy, effortless hairstyles, says that Wilde "wanted to feel like herself" for the event "and even a bit rock 'n' roll." She used Oscar Blandi products to create the look, including the Pronto Texture & Volume Spray, which helped her get the full, tousled style.

The overall look was not only a winner for Wilde, it was event appropriate, rolling a bit of laid-back style in with the glamour that the Globes are known for.
