The embrace happened as Ryan Gosling walked to the stage to accept his trophy.

Ryan Gosling may have won best actor in a motion picture, comedy or musical, but for a moment, Ryan Reynolds and Andrew Garfield stole the show.

As Gosling made his way to the stage at the Golden Globes last night to claim the trophy for his La La Land performance, Reynolds and Garfield leaned in for a big kiss on the lips. Look at the top left corner in the GIF below.

Reynolds was up against Gosling in the same category, for his performance in Deadpool, and Garfield was nominated for best actor in a motion picture drama for Hacksaw Ridge. Reynolds' wife Blake Lively can be seen laughing and clapping next to the actors following their embrace.

Later on in the night, Entertainment Tonight showed Gosling and fellow Globe winner Emma Stone video of the kiss backstage. Stone, who used to date Garfield, laughed and said "They did not kiss each other!" adding, "That's hilarious."

Gosling smiled and joked that he's "happy for them, honestly."

Meanwhile, when Stone accepted her trophy for her best actress win, Garfield reacted by jumping to his feet and giving her a standing ovation.
