Golden Globes: Drone to Be Used on Red Carpet
The ceremony airs Jan. 11 at 5 p.m. on NBC
Golden Globes viewers may get to enjoy some unusual camera angles of the event this year.
A drone will be used to film celebs on the red carpet at the awards show Sunday at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. DJI Global is providing the drone.
"[Sunday] on the #RedCarpet, one of @djiglobal's drones will be flying around and capturing #GoldenGlobes moments," the Golden Globes Twitter account posted Saturday. It included video footage of the drone in action.
Carson Daly also posted video to Instagram of the drone getting tested out on the red carpet but warned that not everyone would appreciate the higher camera angles. "New 2015 red carpet trend....DRONES!!" he quipped. "Famous middle aged balding men beware. #goldenglobes"
