Golden Globes: List of Nominations

'Mank' leads the nominees on the film side, while 'The Crown' is tops in TV.

The nominations for the 78th annual Golden Globe Awards were unveiled Wednesday morning.

Mank leads the nominees on the film side, while The Crown tops the TV nominations. Each earned six noms.

Other top nominees include films The Trial of the Chicago 7, with five noms; and The Father, Nomadland and Promising Young Woman, with four apiece.

On the TV side, Schitt's Creek — which dominated the Emmy comedy series categories last year — followed The Crown, earning five noms, while Ozark and The Undoing each landed four noms. (Ozark is produced by MRC, which is a co-owner of The Hollywood Reporter through a joint venture with Penske Media titled P-MRC.)

Nominees were announced across 25 categories encompassing film and TV. Overall, Netflix leads all networks and streamers with a total of 42 noms — 22 in film (followed by Amazon Studios with seven) and 20 in TV (followed by HBO with seven).

The announcement took place virtually, with previous Golden Globe winners Sarah Jessica Parker and Taraji P. Henson hosting. It aired at 5:35 a.m. PT on NBC's Today. In addition, E! News simulcast the Today broadcast of the first group of categories as well as the remaining categories across E! Online, E! News' digital channels.

The Golden Globe noms announcement comes a day after it was revealed that Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will return as hosts of the ceremony. However, in a twist, the show will be bicoastal for the first time in history, with the duo splitting duties from their respective home bases. Fey will be in New York at the Rainbow Room, and Poehler host from inside the Beverly Hilton, where the show is typically held. Nominees are expected to appear from various locations around the world.

This will mark Fey and Poehler's fourth time hosting the Golden Globes; they previously served as hosts for three consecutive years, from 2013-15.

This year's Golden Globe Awards ceremony airs live Sunday, Feb. 28, at 5 p.m. PT on NBC. (The show is produced by Dick Clark Productions, which is also a division of MRC.)
