Gore's 'Truth' enrolled at German schools

BERLIN -- German school kids are getting a dose of Al Gore with their 3Rs.

In a cooperation between the German environmental ministry and Paramount Pictures, 6,000 German schools next week will receive a free DVD of Al Gore's Oscar-winning documentary "An Inconvenient Truth."

Similar actions in the U.S. have been met with opposition from some school associations but not so in Germany, where environmental minister Sigmar Gabriel has had nothing but praise for the film.

On March 18, German multiplex operator CinemaxX will hold a series of matinee screenings of "An Inconvenient Truth" for school classes at theaters in 27 cities across the country.

Paramount will release the film on DVD in Germany on March 29th.
