Grammys: Childish Gambino Makes Performance Debut
The star was up for five awards at this year's show.
Childish Gambino (aka Donald Glover) made his performance debut at Sunday's 60th annual Grammy Awards from Madison Square Garden in New York City.
Gambino took the stage to sing his song "Terrified" in a stripped-down performance. Sporting a white suit and bathed in a spotlight, Gambino belted in falsetto before being joined by his co-star in the upcoming Lion King film, JD McCrary, who also sang on the track on Gambino's album, "Awaken, My Love!".
McCrary plays the young version of Simba in the new Lion King film, while Glover plays the character as an adult.
The rapper and R&B star was nominated for five awards on Sunday: album of the year and best urban contemporary album for "Awaken, My Love!", and record of the year, best R&B song and best traditional R&B performance for song "Redbone." He won in the latter category.
