Gravitas Ventures has picked up Ali Askari's romantic thriller As Long As We Both Shall Live, which stars Josh Helman, Yael Stone and Jennifer Allcott.

“Rooted in the layered and tortured performance of Josh Helman, Ali’s film is a haunting thriller that will keep audiences guessing and make them question what is real. We look forward to unveiling the film to North American audiences,” Tony Piantedosi, vp of acquisitions at Gravitas Ventures, said in a statement.

A Feb. 26 digital, cable and satellite TV video-on-demand release is planned. As Long As We Both Shall Live sees Malcolm, played by Helman, thrust into depression after his wife, Sarah (Yael Stone), tragically dies.

When he meets Nya, played by Jennifer Allcott, one year later, Malcolm finally allows himself to enjoy new love, until visions of his dead wife leave him with with doubts about his sanity and leaning on friends to at long last properly mourn her passing.

Askari directed As Long As We Both Shall Live from a script he co-wrote with Joe McKernan, Adam C. Sherer and Golan Ramraz. Ramraz and Sherer also share producing credits.

The ensemble cast includes Paul Sorvino, Yvonne Cone, Slate Holmgren and Danny Lane. “We couldn’t be more thrilled to be working with Gravitas Ventures on this project. The characters that Josh, Yael and the rest of the cast bring brilliantly to life are astonishing. The story is as suspenseful as it is touching, and I can’t wait for the world to see it,” said Ramraz in a statement.

The distribution deal was negotiated by Ramraz of Boom Picture Company and Luke Lieberman of Rosenfeld, Meyer & Susman LLP on behalf of the filmmakers, and by Piantedosi on behalf of Gravitas Ventures.
