Greenaway talks funding in Halifax


TORONTO -- Welsh filmmaker Peter Greenaway will give the keynote speech at the 27th annual Atlantic Film Festival in September, organizers said Friday.

The veteran arthouse director's projects have typically drawn on patchwork financing from a range of investors, will provide a luncheon address Sept. 16 in Halifax during Strategic Partners, the festival's international co-production conference.

Greenaway's credits include such films as "Prospero's Books," "The Cook, the Thief, His Wife & Her Lover" and "The Pillow Book."

This year's Atlantic Film Festival, Canada's second largest film festival after Toronto, is set to run Sept. 13-22 in Halifax.
