Grupo Antena 3 names marketing chief


MADRID -- Javier Bardaji Hernando has been appointed director of communications and corporate marketing for Spanish media network Grupo Antena 3, the company announced Monday.

Hernando will report directly to CEO Maurizio Carlotti and be responsible for directing and coordinating the marketing activities of the group's various branches, including free-to-air channel Antena 3, radio chains Onda Cero and Europa FM, movie-theater advertising placement agency Movierecord, events coordinator Unipublic and media agency Artes Advertising.

Bardaji comes to the position from his post at Spanish media group Vocento, where he has headed the group's audiovisual content department. He previously handled marketing and corporate identity for Spanish daily "El Mundo" and rival commercial channel Telecinco. He also worked at Antena 3 as content director.
