'Guess Who's Coming to Dinner' Gets 50th Anniversary Blu-ray Treatment

The special features on the digitally restored Blu-ray include introductions by Quincy Jones and Steven Spielberg.

Guess Who's Coming to Dinner is turning 50, and Sony Pictures Home Entertainment is commemorating the landmark anniversary by releasing a digitally restored version of the film on Blu-ray.

The Stanley Kramer-directed classic stars Katharine Hepburn, Spencer Tracy and Sidney Poitier in a movie that centers on an interracial couple challenging the social norms of the time.

The special anniversary package is presented in collectible digibook packaging with a new essay from Gil Robertson, the co-founder and president of the African American Film Critics Association, as well as rare photos from the production.

The special features have introductions by Quincy Jones and Steven Spielberg, as well as the film's original theatrical trailer.

Guess Who's Coming to Dinner was nominated for 10 Academy Awards, with Hepburn winning best actress.

The Guess Who's Coming to Dinner  special anniversary package will be available on Feb. 7.
