The Hollywood genre king will lecture on "Frenzy," "Shadow of a Doubt," "North by Northwest" and "Notorious" in May at TIFF Bell Lightbox.

TORONTO – The Toronto International Film Festival has signed monster movie maker Guillermo del Toro to lead four master classes on classic Alfred Hitchcock films in May.

The Bell Lightbox lectures come as the Hollywood genre director continues shooting the alien invasion pic Still Seas, A.K.A. Pacific Rim, in Toronto.

Del Toro will open the master classes for Frenzy, Shadow of a Doubt, North by Northwest and Notorious with a curtain raising discussion, followed by a post-screening lecture.

The director on Halloween 2011 was at Bell Lightbox to lecture genre film fans on the Italian vampire tale L’Arcano Incantatore, which del Toro programmed himself.

Del Toro's Still Seas from Legendary Pictures is slated for a May 2013 release date by Warner Bros.
