Gwyneth Paltrow to Be Honored at Baby2Baby Gala
The Goop founder will receive the Giving Tree Award on Nov. 11.
Gwyneth Paltrow will be recognized at this year's Baby2Baby Gala.
The Goop founder will be presented with the Giving Tree Award, the nonprofit organization Baby2Baby said Monday.
Baby2Baby, which provides low-income children with diapers, clothing and basic necessities, honors a mother each year who uses her position in the public eye to advocate on behalf of the low-income children the org serves. The organization's annual gala, this year officially titled Paul Mitchell Presents the 2017 Baby2Baby Gala, helps to raise millions of dollars to support its services.
"Throughout Gwyneth's long history of philanthropic work, she has been a champion of issues ranging from improving education, to fighting poverty, to combatting hunger in underserved communities," said Baby2Baby co-presidents Kelly Sawyer Patricof and Norah Weinstein, who both took the reins at the nonprofit org in 2010. "Gwyneth's dedication to children in need perfectly embodies the Baby2Baby spirit."
Past honorees include Jessica Alba, Drew Barrymore, Kate Hudson, Kerry Washington and Jennifer Garner.
This year's event will feature a dinner led by Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo from Animal, Son of a Gun and Jon & Vinny’s, custom cocktails crafted by The Spare Room and a curated wine selection from Helen’s Wine Bar, Veuve Clicquot and Barrymore Wines. The gala will also be designed by top L.A. event producer Yifat Oren of Oren Co.
The Baby2Baby gala will be held at 3Labs in L.A. on Nov. 11.
