Hadlow shifts from BBC4 to BBC2

Had been controller of BBC4 for four years

LONDON -- BBC4 digital arts and culture boss Janice Hadlow has been tapped to take over as controller of terrestrial net BBC2, BBC director of vision Jana Bennett said Wednesday.

Hadlow, who has been controller of BBC4 for four years, replaces Roly Keating, who was promoted to BBC director of archived content two months ago.

Hadlow joined the pubcaster in 1986, working in radio as well as becoming producer and executive producer of flagship BBC2 program "The Late Show."

She is described as "an original thinker" by Bennett, who said she had "a passion for intelligent television."
