Hallmark boosts Slay to sr. vp


Veteran television publicist Pam Slay has been promoted to senior vp network program publicity at Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movie Channel.

Since 2002, Slay was vp network program publicity at Hallmark Channel. She joined the network in 2000 as director of network program publicity before working her way up the ranks to executive director and then vp.

Slay, based in Los Angeles, reports to executive vp programming David Kenin.

"In a short amount of time, Pam Slay has created a TV publicity department that is one of the best in all of entertainment," Kenin said. "She is a founding member of a team of ninja warriors who five years ago were charged with the task of creating awareness for a newly launched, stand-alone cable television network that lacked the millions in marketing dollars that most networks enjoy. Before joining Hallmark Channel, Slay worked on the international side of publicity at Buena Vista International and Warner Bros. International Television.
