'Hand of God' Actress Alona Tal Joins Indie 'Modern Love' (Exclusive)
The upcoming indie drama centers on an intimate celebration of the nuptials of two gay men.
Alona Tal has signed on to appear in upcoming indie drama Modern Love.
Writer-director Joshua Tunick helms the project, which centers on an intimate celebration of the nuptials of two gay men, played by Rent’s Anthony Rapp and Mean Girls’ ever-grool Jonathan Bennett. Tal’s character Emma is a surprise guest at the wedding, and an old friend of one of the grooms (Bennett).
Tunick, whose credits lie mostly in the documentary sphere, will serve as a producer alongside Eric Kops and Dave Perkai.
Tal, who will be seen in Amazon’s upcoming drama series Hand of God, is no newcomer. The Israeli-American actress followed up her child-star career in Israel with roles in American television shows Veronica Mars, Supernatural and Burn Notice, along with a supporting role in the Mark Wahlberg and Russell Crowe thriller Broken City.
Tal is represented by McKeon-Myones Entertainment and Innovative Artists.
