'Happy Endings' Actress Elisha Cuthbert Weds NHL Star Dion Phaneuf

The Canadian star married the Toronto Maple Leafs captain at a private ceremony in Summerfield, PEI.

TORONTO - Happy Endings' actress Elisha Cuthbert married Toronto Maple Leafs captain Dion Phaneuf at a private ceremony in Summerfield, Prince Edward Island.

Calgary-born Cuthbert played a heartbreaker runaway bride in the ABC comedy pilot before it recently was canceled. 

On Saturday, she was delivered to the church in a vintage black Camaro convertible she received as a gift from the hockey star, according to the Toronto Star.

Surrounded by around a dozen Maple Leaf players and top execs, the couple were wed before a reception bash at their summer residence in New London. Before starting to date Phaneuf in 2008, Cuthbert was tied to the NHL’s Sean Avery.

Cuthbert, whose breakout role was playing the daughter of fellow Canadian Kiefer Sutherland on 24, is known in Canada for earlier roles in local series such as Are You Afraid of the Dark? and Largo Winch.
