"He has served the American people tirelessly, honorably and selflessly," says the iconic actor of the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.

Harrison Ford has Dr. Anthony Fauci's back.

In a new spot from The Lincoln Project, the iconic actor discusses Fauci's long, illustrious career as a medical public servant — including under several presidents  — before addressing Donald Trump's disdain for the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. Fauci has made it increasingly clear he believes Trump's administration severely mishandled the novel coronavirus pandemic.

"He has served the American people tirelessly, honorably and selflessly," Ford says in the ad for the political action anti-Trump committee formed by a number of Republicans.

The Star Wars and Indiana Jones icon lists all the presidents Fauci has severed under, starting with Ronald Reagan, before finally getting to Trump. The video then cuts to a recent Trump rally at which his supporters chanted "Fire Fauci" before Trump suggests that he will likely do just that after Tuesday.

"[Tuesday], you can fire only one of them," Ford says in closing. "The choice is yours."

Mark Hamill also lent his voice to an ad for The Lincoln Project in which he discusses the importance of absentee ballots being counted in every election, especially for those who are serving overseas.

Martin Sheen was also starred in an ad from the same group, release Tuesday morning, in which he makes clear the stakes of the election for America.
