'Harry Potter and the Cursed Child' Rehearsal Script to be Released as eBook
It goes on sale July 31, the day after the play premieres in London.
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Parts I & II, the original play that picks up the story of Harry Potter's life nineteen years after the first seven-book series concludes, makes its global premiere in London this summer. On Tuesday, Pottermore, global digital publisher of J.K. Rowling's Wizarding World, announced that the official rehearsal script for the production will also be available as an original eBook.
The Special Rehearsal Edition of the script will be published as an eBook in coordination with the print publishers; both the digital version and the print edition will be available on July 31, 2016, the day after the play premieres. The eBook will be priced at £9.99 and USD $14.99.
The Special Rehearsal Edition of the script will comprises the version of the script fro the production’s preview period, while it still subject to change, and will only be available for a limited time.
Described as "the eighth story" of the Harry Potter franchise, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Parts I & II explores Potter's life as a father of three, with a son, Albus, who finds himself grappling with a difficult family legacy. The Cursed Child is based on an original story by J.K. Rowling. The script for the stage was written by Jack Thorne and is directed by John Tiffany.
