'André the Giant' Trailer: Robin Wright, Arnold Schwarzenegger and More Remember the Iconic Wrestler

The documentary, set to debut April 10, features commentary from Robin Wright and Arnold Schwarzenegger, and is co-produced by Bill Simmons.

The life of wrestler and The Princess Bride actor André the Giant (aka André René Roussimoff) gets the documentary treatment in the new trailer for the upcoming HBO film, André the Giant.

The documentary, which features a star-studded group of commentators including The Princess Bride stars Robin Wright and Billy Crystal with wrestlers Hulk Hogan and Arnold Schwarzenegger, explores not only the wrestler’s charisma but also the sadness he harbored.

“People would not leave him alone,” said wrestler Ric Flair in the trailer. Added WWE CEO Vince McMahon, “He was hurting, he was really, really hurting.”

Schwarzenegger remembered his fellow strongman, who would "hold me up like a little doll."

"He transcended wrestling," added Hogan. "There was something magical about him."

WWE, HBO Sports and Bill Simmons served as co-producers on André the Giant. For Simmons, who created the website and podcast network The Ringer, the film is the first in a forthcoming slate of documentaries, Ringer Films, which he announced in December 2017.

The co-founder of the ESPN 30 for 30 franchise told THR, "Going back to 2007 and 2008 when I was creating and developing 30 for 30 for ESPN, Andre’s story rode the top of every single sports documentary wish list I ever made. We always hear about unicorns these days — Andre was the ultimate unicorn. He’s a true legend. Everyone who ever crossed paths with him has an Andre story."

The documentary debuts on HBO on April 10.
