Helen Mirren Joining Will Smith in 'Collateral Beauty'
Mirren will play an actor hired by Smith's colleagues to play a part in their grand plan.
Helen Mirren is in talks to join Will Smith in New Line’s comedic drama Collateral Beauty.
The Devil Wears Prada and Marley & Me helmer David Frankel is directing the project, which has a script by Allan Loeb.
Beauty centers on a New York advertising exec (Smith) who experiences a deep personal tragedy. His employees devise an unconventional plan to break him out of his depression — which works, but not in a way that anyone imagined.

PalmStar Media and Likely Story are producing.
Mirren, who is repped by CAA, was just feted at the Gotham Awards for her film work this year, which included starring in Holocaust drama Woman in Gold and appearing as Hedda Hopper in Bryan Cranston’s Hollywood blacklist docudrama Trumbo.
