Handling strategy for safety, security, privacy programs

NEW YORK -- News Corp. has elevated Fox Interactive Media/MySpace chief security officer Hemanshu "Hemu" Nigam to a broader role.

He will now be responsible for setting the strategy and vision for safety, security and privacy programs across all of News Corp.'s online properties, while continuing to oversee all MySpace safety, security and privacy programs.

Based in Los Angeles, Nigam will report to Ellen Agress, senior vp and deputy general counsel of News Corp.

He will also work closely with recently appointed chief digital officer Jon Miller.

"I look forward to working closely with Hemu in his new role as he sets out to implement and build features, polices and industry relationships designed better protect all our users and our businesses," said Miller.
