'Hidden Figures' Trailer: Taraji P. Henson, Octavia Spencer Face Frustrations as 1960s NASA Scientists

"Every time we have the chance to get ahead, they move the finish line. Every time."

Fox has released a new Hidden Figures trailer, which shows Taraji P. Henson, Octavia Spencer and Janelle Monae facing countless obstacles while at the center of NASA.

The film shares the untold story of Katherine G. Johnson (Henson), Dorothy Vaughan (Spencer) and Mary Jackson (Monae) — brilliant African-American women working at NASA who served as the brains behind one of the greatest operations in history: the launch of astronaut John Glenn into orbit in 1962.

Kevin Costner, Kirsten Dunst, Jim Parsons, Mahershala Ali, Aldis Hodge, Glen Powell and Kimberly Quinn round out the film's cast.

Allison Schroeder and Theodore Melfi wrote the screenplay, with Melfi directing.

Hidden Figures hits limited theaters Dec. 25 before expanding wide Jan. 6.
