Hillary Clinton Responds to Age, Health Jabs During Diane Sawyer Interview (Video)

The former secretary of state hits back about "Golden Girls" remarks and Karl Rove's suggestion she suffered a "brain injury."

Hillary Clinton's took on attacks from Republican adversaries during an interview with ABC News' Diane Sawyer.

Sawyer asked the former secretary of state about a comment from Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, who recently quipped that the Democratic "presidential ticket for 2016 is shaping up to look like a rerun of the Golden Girls."

"That was a very popular, longrunning TV series," Clinton said.

She also responded to a comment from Republican strategist Karl Rove, who questioned whether Clinton sustained a “brain injury” during a 2012 concussion.

"I know he was called Bush's brain in one of the books written about him -- and I wish him well," Clinton said.

Clinton is on the promotional circuit for her new book Hard Choices, which hits stores Tuesday. Other stops include a June 17 sit-down with Fox News Channels' Bret Baier and Greta Van Susteren. Her full interview with Sawyer airs June 9 at 9:00 p.m ET.
