Hillary Clinton to Visit Los Angeles on May 7 for Three Hollywood Fundraisers
Media mogul Haim Saban, 'Homeland's' Howard Gordon, super agent Casey Wasserman and 'L.A. Law's' Steven Bochco are among the co-hosts for the $2,700-per-person events.
Hillary Clinton will visit Los Angeles on May 7 to attend three fundraisers for her 2016 presidential campaign, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
The first event will be a $2,700-per-person women's breakfast reception at Catherine Unger's Westwood home. Unger is a member of the Women's Political Committee.
The breakfast will follow with a $2,700-per-person luncheon reception at the home of L.A. Law producer Steven and Dayna Bochco in Pacific Palisades. Sim and Debbie Farar and Howard and Cami Gordon will also host the event. Homeland writer-producer Howard Gordon previously hosted a Ready for Hillary fundraiser in Sept. 2014, and Sim Farar served as a national finance chair for Clinton's 2008 presidential campaign.
Clinton's visit will conclude with a $2,700-per-person evening reception at the home of Haim and Cheryl Saban, with Casey and Laura Wasserman co-hosting.
Earlier this week, Saban and Wasserman, two of the Clinton family’s most ardent supporters, sent an email urging people in Hollywood to donate now to Clinton’s presidential campaign.
“The Saban and Wasserman families are thrilled (over her candidacy) and we hope you are as well,” according to the email, obtained by The Hollywood Reporter.
The letter seeks contributions of $5,400 per couple — the legal primary limit — and asks that contributors commit to a similar amount after Clinton wins the Democrats’ nomination.
