Farley Granger, who starred in Alfred Hitchcock’s Strangers on a Train and Rope, died March 27 of natural causes in New York. He was 85.

James Roberts, a 35-year Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences executive, died March 28 of emphysema in Rancho Bernardo, Calif. He was 87.
