TOOLEY-BENSON WEDDING: Relativity Media president Tucker Tooley wed Tessa Benson, the West Coast bureau chief at Self magazine and daughter of famed lensman Harry Benson, on Sept. 23 at All Saints-by-the-Sea Episcopal Church in Santa Barbara. The intimate ceremony was followed by a dinner reception at the Wine Cellar at the San Ysidro Ranch. The couple was set up by Benson's friend and Relativity production president Robbie Brenner more than two years ago. The pair honeymooned the week before the wedding in Hawaii.


UTA agent Jacob Fenton and Phil Kastel, vp culinary at Grill Concepts Inc. (which runs The Grill on the Alley, The Daily Grill, Public School 612 and 310), were wed Sept. 9 on Nantucket in Massachusetts. The ceremony and reception took place in front of 35 guests at a private beachside house. The couple remained on the island for their honeymoon.

Kings of Leon bassist Jared Followill married model Martha Patterson on Sept. 29 in Charlotte, Tenn. The rustic ceremony was held at Front Porch Farms, and guests enjoyed a fireworks display during the reception. The couple became engaged in April in Nashville.

Anne Hathaway wed writer-actor Adam Shulman on Sept. 29 in Big Sur, Calif. The ceremony was held at a private estate in front of 150 guests. Hathaway, who wore custom Valentino and a 1920s-inspired headband, and Shulman became engaged in November.

Photo-shoot producer Laura Katzenberg, daughter of DreamWorks Animation CEO Jeffrey, wed Introspect Entertainment partner Mark Sudack on Sept. 30 at the Hotel Bel-Air. Family friend Elton John performed the first song. Guests included musicians Joel Madden and Tricky Stewart.


Reese Witherspoon and her husband, CAA's Jim Toth, welcomed son Tennessee James on Sept. 27. Witherspoon has two children from her previous marriage to Ryan Phillippe.

Gersh agent Alex Yarosh and his wife, Whitney, welcomed daughter Frances "Frankie" Lula on Sept. 10 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

Drew Barrymore and husband Will Kopelman welcomed daughter Olive on Sept. 26 in Los Angeles.

Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer and husband Zack Bogue welcomed a son (unnamed at press time) on Sept. 30.


Universal Pictures tapped Jon Mone as executive vp production Sept. 28.

ICM Partners promoted Kristyn Keene and Kari Stuart to agents in its publications department in New York.

CAA managing partner Kevin Huvane will be honored Oct. 11 at AmFAR's Inspiration Gala at Milk Studios in Hollywood.


Michael O'Hare, who starred as Commander Jeffrey Sinclair on the first season of the sci-fi series Babylon 5, died Sept. 28 after suffering a heart attack five days earlier. He was 60.

Herbert Lom, the Czech-born character actor who played Chief Inspector Charles Dreyfus in the original Pink Panther films, died Sept. 27 at his London home. He was 95.

Ted Shugrue, the former head of Sony Pictures' overseas distribution division and president of Loews Cineplex International, died Sept. 27 after a short illness at Yale-New Haven Hospital in Connecticut. He was 62.

Penelope Selwyn-Levey, a veteran Hollywood publicity executive who had a years-long battle with bipolar disorder, died Aug. 12. She was 62.
