WEDDINGS: Andrew Morton, Princess Diana's biographer, married interior designer Carolyn May on Oct. 6 at Beverly Hills Presbyterian Church. The couple, introduced by former Access Hollywood host Pat O'Brien, will honeymoon in South Africa.


Josh Levy, creative affairs manager at Far Field Productions, and wife Jamie welcomed son Noah on Sept. 8 in Los Angeles.


Jonathan Glickman on Oct. 15 had his term as president of MGM's motion picture group extended through 2017.

DEATHS Harris Savides, the dynamic cinematographer behind such films as American Gangster and Zodiac, died Oct. 11. He was 55.

Douglas Laurence, who produced three Elvis films and a Judy Garland album, died Oct. 2. He was 93.

TV actor/host Gary Collins died Oct. 13 in Biloxi, Miss. The former Miss America Pageant host was 74.

$90M FROM SPIELBERG, KATZENBERG, GEFFEN: Steven Spielberg, Jeffrey Katzenberg (chairman of the Motion Picture & Television Fund Foundation) and David Geffen -- the trio who created DreamWorks SKG -- announced Oct. 16 that they are each donating $30 million to the group's $350 million campaign to build its endowment and fund programs to improve the quality of life of less fortunate members of the industry.
