THR 's End of Watch Screening East Hampton, N.Y., Aug. 18: The Hollywood Reporter kicked off its second annual Hollywood in the Hamptons screening series with David Ayer's gritty, adrenaline-packed Open Road Films drama, which stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Pena as cops battling gang members in South L.A. The event, held at Goose Creek estate and co-hosted by Samsung Galaxy SIII, summoned notable East Coasters including Jerry and Jessica Seinfeld; Gwyneth Paltrow and husband Chris Martin; and Rufus Wainwright. "I was in the midst of stolen car chases ... and murders and domestic violence, and that was the dramatic part of it," said Gyllenhaal of his five months shadowing real-life police officers for the role. "It was very intense. Not your normal, 'Yeah, I did a few ride-alongs' type situation." -- Erin Carlson
