So far, a wallet and camera have been taken.

Los Angeles police are warning visitors to Hollywood that a pair of pickpockets are victimizing people using bird poop as a ruse.

The first incident occurred when the two approached a man and told him he had bird poop on his back. They offered to wipe it off, and while he was turned, his wallet was lifted, police said. The suspects quickly got into an SUV and drove north on Sycamore Road.

In another incident, the suspects distracted a victim and took his camera from his backpack, police said.

Their vehicle was a 2015 to 2017 silver Nissan Rogue with paper license plates.

Police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-8477.
