Neil Patrick Harris is among those weighin in on Kutcher's casting, which was first reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

Hordes of Two and a Half Men viewers took to Twitter on Thursday after The Hollywood Reporter broke the news that Ashton Kutcher will replace Charlie Sheen on CBS' Two and a Half Men.

Kutcher even weighed in with "What's the square root of 6.25?" (The answer is 2 1/2.)

While Sheen has yet to respond via Twitter, some others in Hollywood couldn't resist commenting on the news.

"Ashton's replacing Charlie? Good times! CBS shindigs just got much easier on the eyes...," wrote Neil Patrick Harris, who stars on another CBS comedy, How I Met Your Mother.

(Moore is married to Kutcher, who is 16 years her junior.)

Late Show With David Letterman head writer/executive producer Justin Stangel couldn't confine his thoughts to one tweet but sent three:

-- "Ashton Kutcher Finalizing Deal To Join 'Two And A Half Men' but @CharlieSheen CAN'T be replaced. Oh wait, he just was."

-- "Ashton Kutcher to join 'Two And A Half Men." I get it now. When @CharlieSheen said #Winning, he meant #LosingEverything."
