Independent horror labels Elite Entertainment and Brain Damage Films have entered into an exclusive distribution deal that calls for Brain Damage to release Elite's entire catalog and all upcoming releases in the U.S. and Canada. Brain Damage will immediately begin distributing Elite's catalog, which includes such cult films as the original "Night of the Living Dead" and "I Spit on Your Grave." New titles include "Devil Girl," coming in first-quarter 2009.


First Look Studios on Nov. 18 will release the first UFC title on Blu-ray Disc, "Ultimate Comebacks," which consists of more than four hours of hard-core fighting footage, much of it never before seen on TV. Featured bouts include Pete Sell vs. Scott Smith and Martin Kampmann vs. Drew McFedries. The disc also includes behind-the-scenes interviews with the fighters.


Tara Wray's "Manhattan, Kansas" will be released Nov. 18 on DVD by Carnivalesque Films. The personal documentary, in which Wray travels back to rural Kansas in an attempt to reconnect with her mentally unstable mother, enjoyed a successful film festival run, where it picked up honors like best film at the Brooklyn Arts Council's 41st International Film and Video Festival.


Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment is planning a 70th anniversary platinum edition Blu-ray Disc of the animated classic "Pinocchio" for a March 10 release.
